About the film: In 1977, Nasa sent two voyagers into space, each of the voyagers carries a golden record, the golden record holds a selection of images and sounds that are collected from Planet Earth. Carl Sagan says "The spacecraft will be encountered and the record played only if there are advanced space fairing civilisations in interstellar space. But the launching of this bottle into the cosmic ocean says something ver hopeful about life on this planet". While working on the Golden Record Carl Sagan met and fell in love with his wife Annie Druyan, The Golden Record became their message to mankind.
