Modernism and Post Modernism - Definition

Modernism

Modernism is a movement that include cultural trends which arose from a vast scale in western society in the late 19th century and the early 20th century. There's a list of factors that changed and moulded Modernism to how it is was the growth of the industrial cultures and the amount of change in the cities. Modernism is also said that it rejected enlightenment and self though, many of the modernists started to reject any beliefs that they may have especially religious ones. 

Post Modernism

Postmodernism was first introduced in the 1870's, the term post modernism is also used to describe events that changed in the western society and culture in the 1960's. Post modernism is also used as a style term and also as a designation, work such as paintings that have been described as post modern include artists such as Roy Lichenstein and David Hockney.
